The CSI Story in Hawaii
The Honolulu Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute was started in 1967 by a group of architects, contractors, engineers, specifications writers and material suppliers. Those pioneers were interested in improving specifications, to be sure, but in the process they found many other benefits in their association. They learned about materials and correct installation from experts in their midst. They discovered how to help each other and make the business of construction go better, easier, faster, and more profitably. They enjoyed meeting on a monthly basis with their peers in all areas of construction. They participated in the annual region conferences and national conventions. The chapter presently has about 180 members architects, engineers, contractors, specification writers, material suppliers and others. If you would like to join us, please call 847-1862.
